I’m a career journalist and editor who has served as a top editor at The Sacramento Bee and The News & Observer of Raleigh, NC. I spent the fall semester of 2011 as Journalism Executive in Residence at the USC Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism in Los Angeles, where I developed a discussion paper on the need and opportunities for a shift toward more open practices in newsgathering and dissemination.
